If you look down from a 100 feet high building then you can't see the clear image on the ground floor, You have to come on ground floor to understand the everything. That's the level difference and when level becomes equal then everything is easy to understand. Same happens in the life, you can't understand the other person's problems because you both are not on the equal levels.
